MOTIVATION EDUCATION™ continues to enjoy serving as a presenter in the Smithsonian Associate’s and Lafayette, Louisiana’s GEARUP Grant. This is a multi-year grant that has expert presenters travel to Lafayette to help boost the district’s national grant award that follows youth from Grade Six right through high school. Twice per year, as a guest presenter, ECRCME travels to Lafayette to work with students and teachers on STEM topics that are sent in advance. ECRCME always approaches this challenge creatively to stir students’ motivation. In our travels there we have created digital animated characters who interact with the ECRCME teacher to present complex topics in new and unusual ways. Characters such as “Ernesto Earth”, “Sergio Shrimp” and “Dr. Foosbottom” launch students into the Great Ocean Garbage Patch, shrimp research in the waters near the school and a high school dancing challenge entitled “Cancer and College” teaching mitosis in new and unusual ways. The super response for teachers and students in the project has actually led to the creation of our Animated Characters production as a full service available to organizations we partner with. Please check out our animated characters. Who would you like to have a conversation with while teaching?
