Collaboration: Lansing, Michigan Schools
MOTIVATION EDUCATION™ has had the distinct privilege of working as a subcontractor on National Education grants awarded to School Systems.  These multiple day workshops dive deep into teaching requirements and activating student motivation.   In Lansing, Michigan, over a 3 -day period, we shared the work with staff of the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center. Each of us brought our unique resources to teachers looking for new ways forward.  The grant entitled C.H.I.L.D. (Choices Helps Individuals Learn and Develop) offered MOTIVATION EDUCATION™ to share a sequence of interactive workshops working both with large groups of teachers and individual grade levels.  In sequence, we introduced the latest research from Harvard’s WIDE WORLD and the NGSS standards, how to embrace MOTIVATION EDUCATION™, conducted hands on simulations in which the teachers became the students, introduced “Generative Topics” around environmental education, worked with the teachers to help them design their own action and taught the application of the Action Research principle of “Triangulation”.  Thorough workshops like this demonstrate why ECRCME teachers are successful in their classrooms and in community programming.  If you would like more information and access to very large Dropbox files illustrating this type of district in service, please contact us at ecrcme@gmail.com or use the form below.
