Working closely with world class mountaineer, Chris Warner of the Earth Treks Climbing Centers, MOTIVATION EDUCATION™ was able to develop a full curriculum about climbing Mount Everest. Entitled “Shared Summits” students in their classroom can climb this famous mountain while experiencing high winds, battling hypothermia and ataxia and learning what it takes to climb such a mighty challenge. Look for these challenging lessons on this website.

With Dr. Briana Pobiner leading the way, MOTIVATION EDUCATION™ had the great opportunity to learn from one of the world’s renowned paleoanthropologists. The result was a curriculum of eight MOTIVATOR MAPS FOR EDUCATORS that help students consider her African research and consider the question, “What Does It Mean to Be Human?” Dr. Pobiner is a great scientist and educator at the National Museum of Natural History in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Rachel Collin of the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute of Panama has afforded opportunities to MOTIVATION EDUCATION™ teachers to learn about her research as well as present their education translation at conferences and in person in Panama. The outcome is that we have completed a children’s book about her research entitled “A Slipper Snail’s Tale”, available on this website in pdf.

Dr. John Christy of the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute of Panama has served as a great inspiration as he has always been willing to share with MOTIVATION EDUCATION™ via videoconferences and in person his fiddler crab expertise. The outcomes here include the ever-popular activity “Crab Communications” and a children’s book entitled “Crandall the Curious” as the crab transits on world cargo ships. (“Crandall the Curious” is also available on this website.)
