Faces of a Village - A Triangular Passage Slave Trade Simulation
This sensitive simulation highlights the research of Dr. Allan Counter about the Triangular Passage Slave Trade. What happened to the villages along the African Coast and the people who came to the Americas (South and North America and the Caribbean) and what did these raids do to a village culture. The simulation uses cards to get at the truth as participants analyze results. This particular cluster actually supplies two different versions of this Motivator Map for Educators as the activity has caught on to be taught in a number of locations and as part of larger curriculum initiatives that ECRCME has accomplished as consultants to support creative teaching for legacy learning and Black History.
